 11.20.05 - 11:24 pm If you are ever going to Detroit on a weekday to check out its museums, make sure you get their before 3pm BECAUSE THAT IS WHEN THEY CLOSE. Em and I went there on Friday and discovered this. At least we made it to the art museum early enough to enjoy it. When no one was looking, I touched a worn statue of the head of the goddess Sekhmet! I hope the lady of slaughter blessed me! Also amazing, I saw three small statues by Bernini. I was all, "Oh my gosh! I'm only inches away from something Bernini touched!!! Eeeeek!!!" And then I ate the best baklava I'd ever had. If I ever perfected a hypnotizing machine, I'd use it on the cook to get him to visit once a week and make it for me.
